The L&P Surgical Recovery Package can be added to any of the facial surgeries performed at L&P Aesthetics or to any surgery performed with a provider outside of L&P Aesthetics. All of the treatments in the Recovery Package are performed by the L&P post-operative care team at The iO Clinic and include the following:

What is The Science Behind Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
Under normal conditions, the air we breathe consists of 21% oxygen. During HBOT, you receive 100% oxygen in a pressurized environment, similar to what you would experience scuba diving 33 feet below the ocean’s surface or two times greater than that at sea level. HBOT is FDA-approved for the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds and 13 additional indications.
When cells get damaged during surgery, blood vessels become compressed due to inflammation and swelling. Oxygen is normally transported throughout the body by red blood cells. With swelling and inflammation present, tissues become oxygen-deprived. The pressure in the chamber allows the oxygen molecules to dissolve into the plasma of the blood so that oxygen-rich plasma reaches every cell and tissue in the body, including the cells most affected by surgery.
